Ski holidays in Telluride

Telluride ski area is located on the San Miguel River in Colorado in the United States. Telluride is an old silver mining town, where the Telluride ski resort has been located since 1972. In addition to the Telluride ski resort, the area is also linked by a free gondola with Mountain Village, a neighboring village sharing the ski area. The ski area is accessible from the airport of Montrose, at a 1.5 hours drive.

The ski resort of Telluride is a challenge for every level skier and snowboarder. Telluride has greatly expanded between 2002-2008 with the Prospect Bowl (runs around the Gold hill), the Black Iron Bowl and the Revelation Bowl. Combining all three of these extensions, the ski area has almost tripled and ensured that portions of the ski area that were normally difficult to reach are now connected better through the ski lifts.

Snowboarding Telluride

There are 3 different fun parks in Telluride Ski area. The Ute Park, for beginners, with a few small jumps. For the more advanced the Polar Queen's Park with all modules and obstacles. For the experts Misty Maiden Park is combined with the Hoot Brown Park for the absolute pro's. Freestyle boarders of all skill levels are challenged here!

Skischools Telluride

The Telluride Ski & Snowboard School has both private and group lessons. There are also special programs for children. The children groups are the Gold Miner (3 years old), the Ute Indians (4 to 6 years old) and the Explorers (7 to 12 years old).
