Taos Ski Valley resort is located in Taos County in New Mexico, United States. The closest airport to the ski resort is Albuquerque (slightly more than 3 hours drive). The ski area was founded by Rhoda and Ernie Blake in 1955 and the Blake family still run the ski resort. Enjoy the delicious food of the (new) Mexican cuisine here in Taos!

Snowboarding Taos Ski Valley

For snowboarders, Taos is not the best destination. Boarding was not officially allowed until 2008, and the resort remains focused on skiers. Recently, the Out to Launch terrain park was added with some nice obstacles and modules, but this is particularly suitable for beginners.

Skischools Taos Ski Valley

The Ernie Blake Snow Sports School is known as one of the best ski schools across North America, with ski lessons for beginners and advanced and an extensive program to become a qualified ski instructor.
