Ski holidays in Loveland

Loveland ski area is located in Colorado in the United States. The ski resort is located around the Loveland Pass, next to the Eisenhower Tunnel and can hardly be called a resort. Loveland is a ski area, no more, no less. Once you parked (free!) and have purchased a lift ticket, go up, there are few or no accommodations and facilities at the foot of the ski lift. In 2009 Loveland was the first ski resort in Colorado that was open to skiers and snowboarders, and this seems to be a tradition.

Loveland ski area has 1.570 skiable acres and 93 runs. It has a relatively high altitude skiing and thus very good snow conditions. Loveland is known for the highest 4 person chairlift in the world, which brings you up to 3871 meters altitude. The ski area comprises a network of beautiful blue, red and even double black diamond slopes. The longest descent in the area is 3.2 kilometers long.

Snowboarding Loveland

For snowboarders, the conditions are good in Loveland. Good powdersnow, sometimes from early October. Especially the Basin Zip bowl close to lift #8 is great for boarders.

Skischools Loveland

Ski and snowboard lessons are given individually and in groups. A group lesson for the whole morning is about $ 40 (just over 2 hours lesson).
