Ski holidays in Heavenly

Heavenly ski resort is located on the border of the states Nevada and California on the edge of Lake Tahoe in the United States. Heavenly is an extremely appropriate name for this ski resort, where the view of Lake Tahoe and the beautiful Sierra Nevada form a dream picture. Spread over nearly 20km2 (4,800 acres), Heavenly is by far the largest ski resort in California. The ski resort also has no less than 300 days of sunshine per year! Because of its location on the California-Nevada border, the California side of this resort is significantly more focused on skiing and the Nevada side is full of casinos and entertainment (also near Carson City). Heavenly Village is anything but boring!

The ski runs of Heavenly are very diverse and ensure that you are constantly challenged. From Heavenly Village there is a fast gondola bringing you to over 90 different runs. The ski slopes are spread over 9 different mountain peaks and nearly 50% are red runs (intermediate), so advanced skiers can enjoy the whole area. Off-piste the powder snow is very good, so experts will be found both on and off-piste a lot. An absolute must is the Heavenly Flyer, a so-called ZipRider, where you go down in a minute and a half with your ski / snowboard clothing (but without ski / board) about 3km connected to a cable. Very cool!

Snowboarding Heavenly

For snowboarders, Heavenly is a great resort. With a nice half pipe, a boarder cross and terrain park. Both the boarder cross as well as this fun park are on the Nevada side of the ski resort, but boarders will also appreciate the magnificent powder snow bowls on the California side.
