The Breckenridge ski resort is located in the Colorado Rocky Mountains in the United States. Breckenridge is, in contrast to some of the new and modern ski resorts in the United States, a ski area with great history. The town was founded in 1859 when gold was found along the Blue River (the Breckenridge ski resort was officially opened in 1961). Besides the winter sports facilities in Breckenridge, the village looks charming at night and there are plenty of fine restaurants, entertainment and nightlife.

For beginners and intermediates there is enough to do in ski resort like Breckenridge. Divided over 4 different mountain peaks you are taken up the mountain by very fast ski lifts where you will especially enjoy the ski slopes around Peak 8 and Peak 9. The back bowls are also worthwhile. The ski area also enjoys enormous snowfall every year due to its high altitude.

Breckenridge has up to 5 different fun parks. The resort's parks are Freeway, Park Lane, Country Boy, Trygves and Eldorado. Besides these 5 fun parks, with one more exciting and more challenging than the other, there are 4 (!) half pipes and a multitude of natural snow bowls and off-piste powder snow slopes.

The Breckenridge Ski & Ride School has the slogan Mountain discoveries and hence both private lessons and group lessons for snowboarders and skiers are focused on a journey of discovery through this huge area. For younger kids, the mascot of the Breckenridge Ski & Ride School: Ripperoo makes sure the atmosphere is good and also shows them how to use the funpark if you pay attention during your lessons!
