With 900 skiable acres, the A-Basin ski area is relatively small compared to some of the surrounding resorts. The Arapahoe Basin ski area is located at a very high altitude and thus boasts perfect snow conditions. It has the highest ski slopes throughout North America - you can now go skiing up to 3977 meters altitude! In 2007, the Montezuma Bowl was added to the ski area, which more than doubled the number of slopes! The real experts are often found on the Pallavincini - a long steep descent, known as one of the most challenging runs across Colorado. For beginners and families with children the ski area is also very suitable, since the central valley is easy and has beautiful blue and red runs. You can also buy one type of region-ski pass (the season bonus-pass) that gives you access to Arapahoe Basin as well as its neighbor ski resort in Keystone and Breckenridge.

Skischools Arapahoe Basin

The Snow Sports School Arapahoe Basin offers both snowboard, ski and telemark lessons. For adults there are private or group lessons. Highly recommended for kids is the Basin Racin'-Kids Club for 8 to 14 year old kids who can learn the intricacies of the downhill racing (usually held on Sunday).
