The ski resort Villars-sur-Ollon is the capital of the ski area of Villars-Gryon and is located in the Fribourg region. Villars-sur-Ollon is a cozy village with a small but busy city towncentre. Villars-Gryon is located in the west of Switzerland at around 40 kilometres of Lake Geneva. It has a large ski area where all revolves around the 3 resorts: Les Diablerets, Gryon and Villars-sur-Ollon.

The highest point in the Villars-Gryon is Floriette. From here a number of exciting runs, red as well as black, start downward into the valley. The ski slopes here are long and challenging. In total there are about 150 kilometers of ski slopes with runs evenly divided over the three main areas of the resort. For cross-country skiers, there are about 80 kilometers of cross-country runs available. The numerous tour ski trails and excellent cross-country ski trails ensure great variety in this area. Ski slopes and descents are well-suited for pretty much every level of skiing, from beginner to absolute experts.

The nightlife in Villars-sur-Ollon is a lot of fun! With a huge choice of bars and a nightclub which is notorious in the area (Plaza El Gringo), this is an absolute winner. There is plenty to do in Villars, such as shopping and various entertainment for the kids.

In the ski resort Villars-Gryon there are 3 large ski schools. The Villarss Ski School, Villarss Swiss Ski and Snowboard School and Gryons Swiss Ski and Snowboard School. Altogether, these schools have more than 350 ski instructors! Villars is also very suitable for disabled skiiers and snowboarders, with a separate ski school for Handiski: the Association Handiconcept.
