The ski area Saastal lies in Valais in Switzerland. The various villages in this area have a car-free city center and this adds to the nice appearance of the charming streets that have bars, terraces, and shops. Public transportation is good, so you won't get tired of walking. There is a ski bus to get to the other villages of the Saastal easily. With 13 snow-capped mountains over 4,000 meters high, this area is perhaps the most snow-certain throughout Switzerland. On Allalin, one of the mountains you can ski naturally year-round, and lower in the village, where snow cannons and machines produce snow, both offer almost the exact same snow report. This ski area is for the serious skier, with red and black ski runs and a multitude of off-piste possibilities. On top of the Feeglacier, it is a real mecca for the experienced skiing or snowboarding fans.

Especially in the ski resort Saas-Fee, snowboarders can go all the way, with the snow park, Mittel, and a huge variety in off-piste and snow powder possibilities! Because of the many snow-making machines around this boarder park, there is enough snow, even in the off-season to go snowboarding in the Saastal.

Skischools Saastal

The ski resort Saas-Fee / Saastal alone already has four snowboard schools with more than 35 snowboard instructors. The ski schools in the area are also huge with two ski schools in Saas-Fee (60 ski instructors), 20 ski instructors in Saas-Almagell, and 15 ski instructors in Saas-Grund. This is a well-equipped ski resort!
