Travel Report Nendaz In February 2011 we were a guest in the largest ski area in Switzerland, Les Quatre vallées in the charming village Nendaz in Switzerland

The ski holiday village Nendaz lies in the Les Quatre Vallées ski resort in the Valais region. In the southern Valais and in the heart of Les Quatre Vallées is the large ski resort Nendaz. Modern facilities and something for everyone, make this area an excellent Family destination. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, the area is also known for its beautiful hiking trails. There are about 65 miles of hiking trails.

For experts and advanced skiers, Verbier has the best ski slopes, especially the runs from Attelas and Ruinettes. Mont Gele Glacier has a number of black slopes that even scare the ski pros. The advantage of the slopes around Nendaz and Veysonnaz is that you can descend from all the highest peaks into the valley, sometimes providing hours of skiing fun!

There are enough Apres-ski bars in Nendaz. The offering includes various bars, cafes and discotheques.

Snowboarding in Nendaz

Verbier is great, almost unparalleled even in Europe, for the off-piste fans. If the snow permits it there are tremendous off-piste descents from Mont Gele and Mont Fort. The Snowpark of La Chaux is great and has a huge number of modules. In addition, there are several small fun parks and four large boarder crosses in the region, so there is enough fun for snowboarders as well!
