Ski village Morgins is situated in the Valais region in les Portes du Soleil ski area. Morgins is located close to the French border, next to the French ski destination Châtel and near the Swiss neighboring village Champoussin. Morgins is an old village with both old and new buildings, and a large winter sports complex run by Dutch owners: Club La Forêt. The small size and remote location has preserved Morgins' charm through the years.

Slope information Portes du Soleil - Morgins

Plaine Dranse, containing perhaps the most beautiful slopes of the area, starting from Avoriaz, is easily accessible. This valley has plenty to offer for skiers and snowboarders of every skill level. Beginners often gravitate to the area around Le Pleney, directly accessible by ski-tram or cabin lift. One of the most challenging slopes can be found around the famous Col de Joux Plane where beautiful, long, black runs go all the way down into the valley. In the Swiss part is the very challenging Mur at Chavanette (towards Avoriaz.)

Apres ski in Morgins

The apres-ski in Morgins is quiet but pleasant. During many weeks of the year, the small mountain village has a large group of regular guests who have been coming there for years.

Snowboarding in Morgins

Portes du Soleil offers a ski holiday with everything a snowboarder could wish for including a few plate-lifts, lots of off-piste opportunities, some great boarder cross slopes (especially those in Nyon, near Morzine), and snow parks. The off-piste runs from the Col du Fornet are great, and offer an abundance of powder nearly year-round. Snowboarders that like to descend past the tree lines can enjoy beautiful areas in the Les Gets neighborhood.

Skischools and ski hire in Morgins

There are two ski schools in Morgins Ecole Suisse de Ski & Snowboard de Morgins and the M3S Morgins Ski & Snowboard school. The two schools have about 55 ski instructors in total in the busiest parts of the year.
