The ski village Tärnaby is located in Lapland in the area of Vasterbottens, where the village Hemavan also belongs to. Tarnaby is located in a nature reserve three times as big as Luxembourg. The area is especially known as a training site for professional skiers and alpine skiers. It is not for nothing that this ski area has a lot of medal winners. The village itself is very small with not even 1000 inhabitants. It is all about sports here. It is situated in the heart of the mountains of Lapland. Hemavan airport is located near the resort. There are many cozy wooden huts, but also modern hotels where you can stay. You will not find large and impersonal hotels here. The very snow secure area is between 470 and 1135 meters altitude.
