Ski holidays in Duved-Tegefjäll

Winter holiday village Åre is the largest ski resort in Scandinavia and is situated in Jämtland, Sweden. It consists basically of three different villages. Duved Tegefjäll in the west, Åre in the middle and Åre Björnen. They are connected by means of lifts and ski buses. The area is always very sure to have plenty of snow, and the highest point is 1920 meters. There are about 100 different descents. The villages are different in character. Duved is known for its fabulous descents and Åre has grown into a large village with lively après-ski, good bars and restaurants and many shops. Åre Björnen is mostly aimed at families with children, a true winter wonderland. For snowboarders and free-stylers there are in total three fun parks and a half pipe. Tegefjäll offers many long descents, very suitable for the advanced skier to learn even more. Tegefjäll has a special park for kids called the 'Vildmarksstigen'.

Åre has it all. Numerous slopes, 60 kilometers cross-country ski trails, a snowpark and various other facilities (kiting, karting etc. etc.) You can go skiing for 4 weeks in Åre and you will still not be bored. More than 100 ski slopes offer plenty of opportunities. Åre consists of 2 ski areas which are connected by a ski bus.

In Åre-village there are several bars and restaurants, where the après-ski is lively. The other two villages are somewhat quieter.

The snowboarders in Åre have not been forgotten, either. There are no less than three large snowparks and 1 halfpipe.

In Duved-Tegefjäll there is a ski school, which is part of the Swedish Professional Ski Schools. The instructors all speak perfect English. You can book different types of classes such as group lessons with friends, a carving class, a tour guide and of course special children's lessons.
