Destination Funäsdalen is situated in northern Sweden in the Härjadalen region and has 4 separate ski areas that can be booked on one ski pass: Funäsdalsberget, Tänndalen, Tännäskröket en Ramundberget. The ski area is located about 7 / 8 hours drive from the Swedish capital Stockholm. The ski area includes the villages Bruksvallarna, Fjällnäs, Funäsdalen, Ljusnedal, Ramundberget, Tänndalen and Tanner. In the surrounding villages Tännäs and Mittdålen the local people (Sami) still partially live on keeping reindeers.

Besides this enormous diversity for alpine skiers, cross-country skiers find hundreds of kilometers of trails in this area including 300 kilometers of cross-country trails connecting all 4 ski resorts. With 6 peaks above 1000 meter, the ski area is located very high being extremely snow certain for all types of winter sports. For a snowmobile safari in Destination Funäsdalens the ski resort is also very well suited with more than 400km of connected snow scooter trails.
