Our winter sport season started with a visit to the Swedish ski holiday destination: Åre.

The ski area Åre is located in the Jämtland region. The ski area includes the ski resorts Duved-Tegefjäll and Are (Åre). Åre is the largest and most famous ski resort of Scandinavia. The ski activities all revolve around the mountain Åreskutan (1420). Åre offers a comprehensive and lively après-ski. There are countless restaurants, bars and entertainment facilities. You will feel like you are right back in the Alps.

Slope information Åre - Åre

Åre has it all. Numerous slopes, 60 kilometers cross-country ski trails, a snowpark and various other facilities (kiting, karting etc. etc.) You can go skiing for 4 weeks in Åre and you will still not be bored. More than 100 ski slopes offer plenty of opportunities. Åre consists of 2 ski areas which are connected by a ski bus.

The snowboarders in Åre have not been forgotten, either. There are no less than three large snowparks and 1 halfpipe.

Skischools Åre

There is a large ski school in Åre, part of the Swedish Professional Ski Schools. The ski instructors all speak english well. You can take groups lessons and private lessons.
