The Sierra Nevada ski area is located in sunny Andalusia, the mountains near Granada, in Southern Spain. Even at the very top of the ski slopes, the sun is a certainty almost the entire year. The Sierra Nevada is perhaps the most southern ski resort of Europe; snow reports are more than good however, thanks to the high altitude at which the ski area is located. The nature in the Sierra Nevada is of rare beauty and is even on the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve list. Besides skiing, the après-ski is also enormously diverse, with fun bars and restaurants, sledge tours, tobogganing, shopping, and even some golf courses or the beach at less than 90km distance!

The slopes of Laguna de Yeguas are also recommended for experts as well as the slopes at Veleta and Valle de San Juan. Just wait until you are skiing off-piste in the Sierra Nevada!

Snowboarding Sierra Nevada

For snowboarders, the whole area is accessible, and Sulayr Snow Park is great, also includes two pretty cool boarder cross-runs. Going off-piste is the big attraction that this area has also for snowboarders!
