Myslopes.com, the skiing portal with information on over 1,000 destinations and accommodations in 10 European countries, launched an OpenSocial gadget for social networks like Myspace and Netlog today. This allows skiers and snowboarders to share the planned skiing holiday directly online with their friends.

Counting down the days...
In the run-up to a ski holiday, most people want to regularly check the snow reports and look into what the weather will be like at their skiing destination. The gadget makes looking forward to the skiing holiday together even more fun: it counts down the days, shows the friends that are joining you and automatically updates the snow report and weather forecast.
Have you already been on ski holiday?
People that have already been on ski holiday can also place the gadget on their profile. It will tell their friends where they went and they can share their experience and tips with others. All ratings and reviews immediately become accessible to everyone through the Myslopes.com gadget and website.
Open Social
OpenSocial is an initiative by Google that uses a standardized set of so-called API's and design rules. The Myslopes.com gadget is available in virtually the same form on many social networks. So in addition to Myspace, it is also available on Netlog, Hi5.com, Orkut, Friendster, Ning, Bebo, Hyves and Yahoo.
This is the first ski holiday OpenSocial application. The Myslopes.com gadget will continue to be developed, so all ideas, tips and requests can be sent to infoATmyslopes.com or via Twitter on twitter.com/myslopes.
