Ski holidays in Russia
Winter holiday in Russia is still relatively unknown to the general Western public. The ski resorts in the Caucasus and in the remote province of Kamchatka are certainly worthwhile however. The most famous Russian ski holiday destination is undoubtedly Krasnaya Polyana, where the ski and snowboard events of the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014 will be held. Possibilities in Russia also include mountain skiing on the volcanic mountains in Kamchatka, skiing the Ural Mountains, Siberia or a weekend of skiing close to Moscow during a city trip! It is expected that with the emergence of the Russian middle class that increasingly goes on holiday, the ski resorts in Russia will be developing extensively, perhaps attracting more and more international visitors as well.
