Ski holidays in Predeal

Predeal is located in the Prahova Valley in the Carpathian Mountains in Romania. Predeal is the highest village in Romania, situated at 1033 meter altitude. Predeal is surrounded by 5 enormous mountain peaks: the Piatra Mare, Bucegi, Baiului, Fitifoi and Postavaru. The name of the ski means literally on the hill. The ski area is quiet, and especially popular with parents with children. At approximately 3 hours drive from Bucharest, Predeal is easy to reach, even by airplane (there is also a small airport nearby Brasov).

Skiers enjoy the slopes on the flanks of the mountains Clabucet and the Ciople. The ski area is connected by a modern network of lifts and snow cannons are also along the main ski runs. Advanced skiing is attractive mainly on the Subtelescaun ski slope, which is a very challenging black run. The longest slope, the Cocos is almost 2 km long and takes you all the way down. Some of the slopes have evening lighting. Besides its own ski slopes, Predeal is often used for trips to the nearby ski resorts Azuga or Poiana Brasov.
