The ski resort of Harghita Madaras is located on the flank of the Harghita Mountains in Transylvania, Romania. The highest peak in this area is the Madaras, with its summit at 1801 meter. The accommodation in the heart of the ski area is limited, the majority of the tourists stay in the Hostel Madaras. Harghita Madaras is still one of the busiest and most popular ski areas in Romania however.
