Zakopane is the absolute top ski resort in Poland located in the Tatra Mountains near Krakow. Due to the high altitude of Zakopane (Tatra has peaks of around 2500m) the ski resort has great snow conditions throughout the season. Zakopane ski resort is spread over several sectors, each with their own ski slopes and ski lifts. Despite its fragmented ski area, Zakopane is a charming ski holiday destination with a beautiful old center and a renowned hospitality.
