The ski area Hafjell is located in the Oppland region. The ski area includes the ski resort Hafjell. The ski resort Hafjell Ski is located in the Oppland region in Norway, near the familiar Lilehammer. Lillehammer is well known because of the Olympic Games in 1994. Many of the games from that Olympics took place in the Hafjell ski resort. The facilities are very good in Hafjell. All in all one of the largest ski areas of Norway! Even the ski slopes and tracks from the nearby Kvitfjell are easy to reach. Hafjell is a great location for cross-country skiing (more than 300km cross-country trails!), downhill skiing and freestyle snowboarding (the Hafjellparken). Hafjell is an absolute winner! Hafjell is a popular ski holiday destination with families. For the little ones there are various special facilities such as (indoor) play-parks and excellent childcare facilities. There is no bustling nightlife, but a dozen of cozy cafés and bars. The après-ski in Hafjell is very modest, with some nice pubs and restaurants. The best bar in the ski resort is Woody's. A typical British bar.

Hafjell offers nearly 40 kilometers of ski runs. The area is especially suited for novice skiers. There is room enough to practice your techniques. The area is especially known for its excellent cross-country trails. There are more than 300 kilometers of beautifully maintained trails. There are two high-speed lifts. Most of all descents are accessible through these 2 lifts. The strength of this area stays especially in the magnificent panoramas.

Snowboarding Hafjell

Snowboarders must be sure to visit the Hafjel snowboard park. The park offers moguls, 10 jumps, 1 big jump, 1 super big jump (roger'n), 2 halfpipes and several rails.

Skischools Hafjell

There is a ski school in Hafjell with about 25 ski instructors (also English speaking).
