Ski holidays in Temple Basin

Temple Basin ski resort is located in the village of Arthur's Pass (also located in Arthur's Pass National Park) on the South Island of New Zealand. The ski area is a club ski resort run by two ski clubs, the Canterbury University Snow Sports Club and the Temple Basin Ski Club. The large city of Christchurch is located approximately 2 hours drive away. After arriving at the parking lot along State Highway 73, the resort is still a 40 minutes walk. This walking distance through Arthur's Pass National Park 'causes' that Temple Basin is mostly popular with sportive skiers and boarders. Next to the slopes, Temple Basin has two modern ski lodges, with simple accommodation.

Slope information Temple Basin - Temple Basin

Ski Area Temple Basin covers a total of 320 acres of slopes. Besides the walk that you make to the ski resort on arrival, a large portion of the ski slopes also requires that skiers and boarders can hike. Because of the enormous off-piste possibilities however, Temple Basin is still one of the worldwide favorites for many pro skiers and snowboarders.
