Craigieburn ski resort is located 110 km from the city of Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand. Craigieburn Valley is run by the Craigieburn ski club, a club with a not-for-profit status. This means you should not expect a comprehensive ski resort but a pure ski & snowboard destination, clearly aimed at experienced skiers.

The ski area of Craigieburn Ski resort covers 400 hectares in total. The Craigieburn Valley ski area is particularly attractive for advanced skiers and has almost no beginner slopes. Advanced skiers can take a day trip that starts in Broken River and returns in Craigieburn.

Snowboarding Craigieburn

There is no fun park in Craigieburn. Powder enough, however, and some beautiful mountain bowls (powder bowls).

Skischools Craigieburn

There is no large ski school in Craigieburn. The ski club that runs the resort does have some mountain guides.
