Coronet Peak ski resort is located just 18km from the town of Queenstown on South Island in New Zealand. In 2008 a large part of the ski resort was fully renovated with modern lifts, snowmaking and a new lodge at the bottom of the slopes.
Apres-ski bars and restaurants of the bottom of the slopes are very good at Coronet Peak, including Heidi's Hut (Little in Austrian style).

Coronet Peak ski resort covers a total of 280 hectares of slopes. This makes the area not exactly the largest ski area in the region, but its location near Queenstown is still very popular. Snow conditions are always very well with both large snowfall in a season and a network of 140 snow cannons.
The Coronet Peak ski areas amongst others boasts an official FIS World Cup downhill descent.
The Beginner Jib Park Coronet Peak is especially interesting for freestyle snowboarders.
Skischools Coronet Peak
The Coronet Peak Snow Sports School offers ski and snowboard lessons. Private lessons and special programs for groups are available. Apart from English there are also ski instructors who teach in French, Japanese and German.
