Ski holidays in New Zealand
New Zealand is located in the Pacific Ocean and consists of two large islands, the North Island and South Island. New Zealand is probably the most popular ski destination in the southern hemisphere, thanks to many tourists from Australia. The ski season here usually lasts from April / May to October. Most of the ski resorts in New Zealand are on the South Island. The largest (and highest altitude) ski area in New Zealand is available on the North Island on the flanks of Mount Ruapehu Mount, with ski resort Whakapapa on the north side and Turoa ski resort on the south side.
