The ski resort St. Ulrich-Ortisei is located in the ski area Val Gardena in the Italian Dolomites. Ortisei is very lively. There is a lot to do besides skiing. Ortisei is a little bit further away from the ski area and the lifts, but the atmosphere in the centre makes up for that. The centre is partly free of traffic and is very popular as a place for tourists in Val Gardena. Especially families with children find their way to Ortisei, but also for young people there is certainly enough to do here. There is a bus that can bring you to one of the other villages in the valley.

Val Gardena is very suitable for an active ski holiday. The impressive Dolomites give you a lot of opportunities. The ski area offers challenges for all ability levels, there is a broad and wide range of slopes. Those who still want more can visit the gigantic Dolomiti Superski, of which Val Gardena is part of.

Apres ski in St. Ulrich-Ortisei

The Après-ski in Ortisei is very good! It is clear that the Ortisei is the capital of Val Gardena, facilities, restaurants and bars are very good here. The local cuisine is a combination of the German and Italian cuisines and is therefore perfectly fine! The disco Mauriz and Siglu Bar are recommended!

Snowboarding in St. Ulrich-Ortisei

In the ski area of Val Gardena, snowboarders are allowed on all slopes, but you will find most snowboarders on the Piz Sella and on the Alpe di Siusi. There are two boardercrosses, a half pipe and a fun park for the kids.

There are two major ski schools in Ortisei, the Ski & Snowboard school 'Saslong' and the Ski & Snowboard school Ortisei. Together they offer more than 100 ski instructors.
