Ski holiday destination Merano, together with Hafling forms the ski resort Merano 2000. The face of the village centre of Merano is determined mainly by the many hotels. As the name suggests, the most ski slopes in Meran 2000 are above 2000 meters. This makes the snow conditions in this ski area perfect. Merano is also a popular ski area for ski holidays around Easter. There are 40 km of ski runs and 20 km cross-country trails.
