Ski holidays in Madesimo

The Madesimo ski resort (also called Valchiavenna) is located near Lake Como in Sondrio in Italy. Madesimo is a small ski holiday destination that contains both old, charming accommodations as well as enormous luxurious hotels. Despite the tremendous growth in recent years there is still a very old-fashioned city center that is lively and enjoyable. The terraces on top of the mountain already start to fill up from lunch onwards and continue to be full of people throughout the afternoon.

Slope information Madesimo - Madesimo

The ski slopes of Madesimo-Valchiavenna are challenging. The red and black slopes are attractive and surprising, but even the blue slopes are occasionally very difficult. The snow reports of the area are very good, thanks mainly to the high altitude. The famous Canalon-slope is one of the 'blackest' slopes in the whole of Italy!
