The ski resort Cervinia is one of the absolute winners in Italy. It is located in the Valle d'Aosta in the ski area Breuil-Cervinia, which is affiliated with the Swiss ski resort of Cervinia Zermatt. The resort owes its name to the Italian name for the Matterhorn, Monte Cervinio, Cervinia is adjacent to this mountain. Thanks to the relatively cheap accommodations, this ski resort is an excellent destination for the demanding skiers. During the week you can ski on the wide slopes without having to ski through large crowds, and on weekends the Italians themselves go in large numbers to this ski resort. Cervinia is obviously also a great place to go out and enjoy the Italian food.

Slope information Breuil-Cervinia - Cervinia

The ski slopes of Breuil-Cervinia, or rather Cervinia are connected to the slopes Val Tournenche, which on the Italian side alone has over 100 km of slopes available. The ski slopes are almost all red, but even the black runs are good to do for advanced skiers. The connection of the Plateau Rosa with Zermatt ensures more exciting and challenging ski slopes to Swiss side for the more experienced skiers or snowboarders. Do not forget to buy the tickets for the Swiss section already down in the valley station, because they are much cheaper thanif buy them when you arrive at the Plateau Rosa!

The nightlife in Cervinia is perhaps a bit quiet, but the Yeti Bar and the two big clubs, the Etoile and the Bianconiglio are absolute winners!

There are three major ski schools in Cervinia the Scuola Di Sci Del Breuil, the Scuola Di Sci Matterhorn Cervinia and the Scuola Di Sci Cervino. In total, these three ski schools offer more than 200 ski instructors! Scuola di Sci del Cervino is by far the largest of these ski schools in Cervinia and has a separate program for children!
