Ski holidays in Courmayeur

The Courmayeur ski area is located on the Italian side of the Mont Blanc Tunnel on the edge of Valle d'Aosta in Italy. The village of Courmayeur offers a perfect triangle for skiers, together with La Thuile and Breuil-Cervinia in Italy, and even has access (by car that is) to the slopes of Chamonix in France and Verbier in Switzerland, if you would want to go there for one day skiing. The charming village of Courmayeur has a friendly atmosphere and picturesque look-and-feel to itself. In the restaurants and on the many terraces, the game is seeing and being seen, and enjoying the delicious Italian cuisine. The après-ski in Courmayeur is one of the best après-ski destinations throughout Italy. There is a really great choice in restaurants and bars. Our tips are the bars around the Via Roma, and the disco The Night Cafe Jimmy.

Slope information Courmayeur - Courmayeur

The slopes of Courmayeur are divided into two parts, connected to each other: Val Veny and Plan Checrouit (and a number of slopes to the Mont-Blanc itself). From the point where the gondola of Plan Checrouit brings you up, you must first walk 60 meters toward the ski lifts before you can go further up. The ski lift towards the Col Checrouit is the most popular and has the most beautiful slopes. The smaller ski lift of Cresta Youla brings you to 5 very beautiful slopes. The third option that you have from Checrouit Plan is the lift in direction of Cresta Arp, with beautiful black ski slopes and off-piste possibilities.

Snowboarding Courmayeur

Over the course of 2008, the new snow park of Courmayeur finally opened. Most slopes of the area are very nice for snowboarders, and the off-piste opportunities you can enjoy on the flanks of Mont Blanc along with a guide (Monte Bianco in Italian) are recommended!
