Ski holidays in Upper Palatinate Forest
The Upper Palatinate Forest (Oberpfälzer Wald) is located in southern Germany and a small part of the Czech Republic. The Upper Palatine Mountains have peaks between 700 and 1,100 meters high. The highest peak, the Schwarzkopf (?erchov), is 1,042 meters high and is located in the Czech Republic. The Upper Palatinate Forest includes the ski villages of Flossenbürg-Wurmstein, Vohenstrauß, and Waldsassen. All three ski areas contain only a few miles of ski slopes, but both Vohenstrauß and Waldsassen have about 50 km of cross-country tracks.
