Triberg-Schonach-Schönwald is located in the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) in Germany. Together, these three villages form Das Ferienland (the holiday land), one of the best holiday regions of the Black Forest.
The ski area has a few small alpine ski resorts, with a total of 9 ski lifts. The slopes in Stollenerg are the longest.
Especially for cross-country skiers, this is a great area with 33 cross-country tracks and a total of 200km. Near Triberg is a long cross-country track: the Geutscheloipe (6.2 km). In Schönach are a large number of cross-country tracks: the Höflebergloipe (4.6 km), the Langenwaldloipe (4.0 km), the Leptigloipe (11.8 km), the Panoramaloipe (7.6 km), the Moosloipe (2.5 km), the Weltcuploipe (2.0 km), the Loipenhausrunde (3.0 km), the Schöne Aussicht slope (16.0 km), the Schänzle-slope (6.0 km) and the extremely long (but easy) Fernskiwanderweg (100.0 km).
In Schönwald there are also the Weissenbachloipe (6.0 km), the Farnbergloipe (9.4 km), the Schaibenloipe (4.7 km), the Rundloipe im Landschaftspark (0.9 km) and finally the Rothaus Loipenzentrum (2.5 km).
