Ski holiday village Steinach is located in the Thüringer Forest in Germany. Steinach has a small private ski area: Silbersattel, which houses four lifts (2 chairs, a drag lift and a baby elevator). The ski slopes of Sibersattel are located on and around the Fellberg, and on the mountain plateau of the Fellberg. The majority of the slopes are red in color, but there are a number of blue family-runs which are just as long. At the center of the plateau there is a small black slope. In addition to the alpine ski and snowboard options, there are 6 beautiful cross-country tracks around the ski arena Silbersattel with in total more than 115km of prepared or semi-prepared cross-country tracks. There is the small ski arena Runde (7km long), the big ski arena Runde (11.8 km long), the big Fellbergrunde (13.5 km long), the Fellberg Steinheid-Trinushütte (30km), the Komplettes Skiwanderweggebiet (49km) and the B-R-S Route.

Skischools and ski hire in Steinach-Silbersattel

There are two different ski schools in Steinach-Silbersattel. You can take ski or snowboard lessons at the Skischule am Silbersattel and the DSV-Skischule of SV08 Steinach.
