St. Johann-Upfingen is located in the Swabian Alb (Schwäbisch Alb) in Germany. St. Johann is a small village consisting of the sub-counties: Bleichstetten, Lonsingen, Gächingen, Ohnastetten, Würtingen and Upfingen. Upfingen is one of the charming centers of the village with the beautiful peak of the church tower of the Marienkirche seen above the village houses. Upfingen also houses the small ski area of St. Johann. Drag ski lift Beiwald at Upfingen has a small descent of 430 meters. In addition to the ski lift in Upfingen and a small ski lift in Würtingen there are also some nice cross-country trails in and around the village.
