Spessart is a mountain group, situated in central Germany on the border of Hesse and Bavaria. The two largest cities at the foot of the Spessart mountain chain are Aschaffenburg and Würzburg. The highest point of the Spessart, the Geiersberg, sits at 568 meters in altitude. The Spessart region includes the winter holiday villages of Frammersbach and Jakob Heigenbrücken Stal.
