Ski holiday village Schotten is located in the region Vogelsberg in Germany. The larger area is also known as Hessen.
Allthough the ski resort is not at a high altitude, it is still very popular in the season, with three ski lifts that connect a nice family area. The longest descent goes from the Hoherodskopf in the direction of Breungeshain. You can also ski at night here, and finally there is a special tubbing lift slope.
Besides skiing and snowboarding, this area is also very diverse for cross-country skiers. In total, the cross-country network counts more than 50km of cross-country tracks, and a further 5km of skating tracks.
Close to a Schotten there is a skating rink in Freizeitzcentrum Lauterbach.
