Snow villages Rottach amd Egern are located on the Tegnersee in Bayerische Voralpen in Germany. Rottach and Egern also offer access to the Spitzingsee-Tegernsee ski area. Ski resort Spitzingsee-Tegernsee is one of the largest combined ski regions of Germany, and is a combination of several small ski areas in Rottach-Egern (Wallberg ski area), Kreuth, Bath Wiessee and Gmund. Rottach and Egern have their own ski area: Wallbergbahn. In total, Wallbergbahn has 11km of slopes with ski runs for every ski level. Besides the ski slopes, Wallbergbahn has the longest toboggan run of Germany!

In Bayerische Voralpen, the ski resorts in Oberaudorf, Lengries-Brauneck, Schlier (at the Spitzingsee), and Sudelfeld are all worth a visit. All these ski resorts have about 25-35 km of alpine skiing runs and are very popular among families with children.
