Ober Ried is located in the Black Forest in Germany. There are many smaller lifts in the surroundings of Oberried: the Hasenhorn-Sessellift, the Notschreilift, the Schauinslandbahn, the Skilifte Haldenköpflelifte, the Skilifte Hofsgrund, the Skilifte Stollenbach-Oberried-Zastler, Skizentrum Hinterzarten and finally the Wasenlift. Of these ski areas the Skilifte Haldenköpflelifte in particular (2 ski lifts and 700 meters) and Skilift Hofsgrund (4 ski lifts and 800 meters of ski slopes) are worthwhile. Oberried is a great destination for cross-country skiers. With a total of 29km of slopes, the network of trails is very diverse. The cross-country trails are: the Haldenloipe (7 km), the Schauinslandsloipe (8 km), Stübenwasenloipe (24 km).
