Nesselwang is located in Allgäuer Alps in Germany. Nesselwang has its own small ski area, the Alpstpitzbahn Nesselwang.
The surrounding area of Nesselwang is beautiful and the village lies at 900 meter height at the foot of the Alpspitze and Edelsberg. Besides a popular winter sports destination, the village is also popular for its beauty, wellness and spa facilities.
Slope information Allgäuer Alps - Nesselwang
The Allgäuer Alps are a collection of small and slightly larger ski resorts, totaling about 300 km of ski slopes. The ski areas are widely spread out. A number of well-known ski resorts, in particular, are recommended, including Fellhorn-Kanzelwand near Oberstdorf. This is one of the largest ski areas in Germany with nearly 50 km of ski runs. It actually consists of two main parts, Fellhorn / Kleinwalsertal in Austria, and Nebelhorn. In addition to the ski slopes in Oberstdorf, there are beautiful ski slopes around the Hörner (Hörnergruppe at Balderschwang, Bolsterlang, Obermaiselstein, Ofterschwang, and Fischen) and Oberjoch-Bad Hindelang ski areas.

The apres-ski around the Alpspitzbahn is modest. There are three nice apres-ski bars around the ski resort: the Enzianstüble near the mountain station of the gondola and the Schirmbar (a typical round glass apres-ski bar).
Snowboarding in Nesselwang
Snowboarders have some great options especially in Oberstdorf. Fellhorn Park and Crystal Ground - Snowpark Kleinwalsertal have much to offer in freestyle obstacles, jumps, and halfpipes. In addition, this area has two beautiful boarder crosses.
