Ski Area Mittenwald-Dammkar is located in the outskirts of attentive ski holiday village Mittenwald in Karwendel.
The Karwendelbahn brings you up at the start of the Dammkar ski route. This ski route is almost 7.5 km long and has a descent of 1300 meters!
On the other flank of the larger Mittenwald ski area, the Kranzberg lies with another 15km of ski runs. Most skiers and snowboarders coming to Mittenwald make use of both ski areas.
Slope information Karwendel-Wetterstein - Mittenwald-Dammkar
In Karwendel Wetterstein there are three different ski regions, the famous Garmisch-Partenkirchen (among others, famous for ski jumping competitions), Grainau, and Mittenwald. Garmisch Partenkirchen itself has about 60 km of ski slopes, and is divided into two different sectors. First, there is the main Garmisch-Partenkirchen area around the hills of the Hausberg, Osterfelder, and Kreuzeck, where the most famous ski runs are located. Second, you also have access to the ski platform in Zugspitze, which can be reached through Grainau. The ski lift or ski train in Grainau takes you up to the Zugspitze, where another 40 km of ski runs are waiting for you. Around Mittenwald there are two additional ski areas, Kranzberg with 15 km of ski runs, and the Dammkar ski route which is 7.5 km long.
