Ski holidays in Hollerath-Udenbreth

Hollerath and Udenbreth are two small villages located along the Belgian-German border in the Eifel. Both located in the Hellenthal, the villages have a beautiful cross field in the vicinity. Ski arena Weisser Stein has 27km of cross country slopes and two drag lifts for alpine skiers. Besides cross-country skiing and skiing, sledding/ snow tubing is a popular activity for young and old in this winter sports area where they have a special snow tubing lift, too.

Slope information Eifel - Hollerath-Udenbreth

For alpine skiers, the ski area Hohe-Acht/Jammelshofen is the most attractive. This area also has about 8 km of cross-country trails. Close to the village Daun there are two separate small skiing areas, the Mäuseberg and the cross-country skiing center, Ernstberg. Around Hollerath-Udenbreth there also is a cross-country skiing center, Weißer Stein, with about 27 km of cross-country trails and two small ski lifts. The slightly bigger town of Monschau also has a small skiing area, Wintersportzentrum Monschau-Röhren. Prüm also has two small ski areas, Wolfsschlucht and Schwarzer Mann, both with about 10 km of cross-country tracks and a few small ski lifts.

Apres ski in Hollerath-Udenbreth

The apres-ski in the ski arena Weisser Stein revolves around the Weißsteinhütte, where a nice beer Stube serves Paulaner beer. In the ski season, carnaval is also celebrated on and around the slopes in this region.

There are no really attractive snowboard areas in the Eifel. The short descents may form a good area for some children and beginners to learn boarding, however.
