Ski holidays in Fichtelgebirge

The ski area Fichtelgebirge is located in central Germany. The Fichtelgebirge Nature Park is a beautiful setting above the city of Nuremberg and also near the border with the Czech Republic. Fichtelgebirge includes the winter sports towns of Bischofsgrün-Ochsenkopf, Fichtelberg-Neubau, Kornberg, Mehlmeisel, and Warmen-Steinach. Most of these ski areas are centered around the Ochsenkopf, the highest mountain in this area, at 1,024 meters high. Fichtelgebirge is best known as a cross-country skiing destination in the winter, however.
