The Briloner Poppenberg has a small alpine descent, where the beginners can learn skiing or snowboarding step by step. In the area from Brilon-Petersborn to Brilon-Wald, there are approximately 25 km of cross-country trails. The cross-country ski network is even larger from Brilon, where there are also cross-country trails towards Olsberger, Messinghausen, Hoppecke and Madfeld.
