Ski holiday destination Berchtesgaden is located in the Berchtesgadener Alps (Berchtesgadener Land) in Germany. Berchtesgaden has its own ski resort: ski area Rossfeld with around 10km of ski runs and a number of fun descents. Skilifte Rossfeld is especially popular with families with children, and is very well suited to learn to ski or snowboard.

All four ski resorts in the Berchtesgadener Alps have relatively few slopes, ranging from 6-9 km in length. Rossfeld has about 10k m of ski runs; Bischofswiesen-Götschen has approximately 8 km of ski runs; Königssee-Jenner has about 8 km of descents, and Ramsau-Hochschwarzeck has only about 6 km of downhill slopes.

There are no major fun parks for freestyle snowboarders in the Berchtesgadener Alps, but beginners can take snowboard lessons at any of the ski areas.
