Ski holidays in Bayerische Voralpen
The Bayerische Voralpen are located in the south of Bavaria along the border with Austria. (A small part of this mountain range actually lies in Austria.) The highest peak in this area is the Krottenkopf at an altitude of 2,086 meters. Because multiple mountain peaks in the area are around this altitude, this region has decent snow, but the ski areas are relatively small. Bayerische Voralpen includes the winter villages of Gmund-Ostin, Oberaudorf, Kreuth, Lenggries-Brauneck, Rottach-Egern-Wallberg, Schlier-Spitzingsee, Sudelfeld, and Wendelstein.
