Ski holidays in Ammergauer Alps
The Ammergauer Alps are located in southern Germany along the border with Austria. The ski resort Oberammergau is located in the Ammergauer Alps in Germany. Oberammergau is known for the ?Passionspiel? performed here at Christmas. This performance was first organized in 1634, and all parts are played by the inhabitants of Oberammergau itself. The ski area Kolbe has 7 km of ski slopes linked by 7 drag lifts and one chairlift. In addition to Kolbe, there are three small ski areas nearby, Laber (2.5 km of ski runs), Steckenberg in Unterammergau (10 km of slopes), and Hörnle in Bad Kohlgrub (another 3.5 km.)
