One of the oldest and most well-known skiing villages in the Alps, Val d'Isere. As part of Espace Killy is connected to the famous neighbour ski-resort Tignes. Val d'Isère is a real mecca for the novice but also advanced skiier, with a history of Olympic champions (including Jean-Claude Killy) The village has changed for the better in the last twenty years to become even more beautiful. Renovated, it now consists mainly of beautiful chalets and a more mundane appearance.

Slope information Espace Killy - Val d'Isère

Together, Val d'Isère and Tignes have an enormous ski area with a great variety in ski slopes throughout the ski resort. In Espace Killy, winter sports enthusiasts have the opportunity to compete in the glaciers of both the villages all-year-round. This area is one of the absolute dream-destinations in the world, offering anything that the advanced skier could wish for! The Grande Motte glacier at Tignes runs through Lavachet over the area around Val d?Ísere. In the sections around Palet, Aiguille Percée and Val Claret there are a lot of beautiful slopes and descents. And taking the skilift at La Daille to the Rocher de Bellevarde can take you to hours of uninterrupted descents back to the same valley!

Snowboarding in Val d'Isère

Although Val d'Isere has fantastic slopes and downhill possibilities, neighbor Tignes is the ultimate destination for snowboarders. The best boarders in the world come here to enjoy the snow park that stretches more than 2.5 km in length. This snow park includes: half pipes, quarter pipes, tables, hips, a double bowl, hand rail, and one fun box. The slopes around Val d?Isere also include a natural snow park at the South side of the Col de Fresse.
