However, despite the low altitudes, the slopes are interesting enough for all levels of alpine skiing as well and have reasonable snow reports throughout the year. The snow is good thanks in part to the enormous number of snow making machines that have been installed.

Snowboarders in Monts Jura especially go to the area around Crozet-Le Lex, where there is a very nice snow park and a boardercross. (There is also a boardercross at Mijoux-La Faucille)
