Close to the Italian border in the haute Maurienne lies the skiing village Modane. Modane is part of the ski area around Valfrejus. Modane is a small ski resort slightly above Vafrejus, almost immediately after the famous tunnel of the same area.

Slope information Valfréjus - Modane

The ski slopes in Valfréjus are well distributed and snow report is fantastic throughout the season. Even the slopes at great altitude such as the run from Punta Bagna (above 2700m) are approachable by novice skiers. You can also go skiing for a day in Aussois or La Norma on the same ski pass!
