Not even an hour's drive from Nice, an extremely sunny ski resort in the Parc National du Mercantour is Isola 2000. Thanks to its location, the atmosphere of the area can be compared with even the most cosmopolitan seaside resorts further to the south of France. Most restaurants and cafe's have a sundeck or an extensive terrace. That makes the winter in Isola 2000 very relaxed and resembling the Riviera in the summer!

Slope information Parc National du Mercantour - Isola 2000

Les stations du Mercantour as Auron and Isola 2000 are known, are not directly connected. Both ski resorts have relatively small ski areas with slopes that are very suitable for families. (The aforementioned kilometers and lifts are added together, the two areas have about 120 km of slopes) Auron is more suitable for advanced skiing than Isola 2000.

Whether a wellness package or a trip through the nearby du Mercantour Park, the après-ski in Isola 2000 is in one word fantastic! One attraction in the region is a car-driving course on ice. The same ice rink is also known for its Trophee Andros with rally cars each year.

Snowboarding in Isola 2000

Isola 2000 has a nice snow park with a half pipe, boardercross and handrails. The snow park of Auron at 1600 m above sea level is also worthwhile.

In addition to a local branch of the ESF (French Ski School), there is also a special ski school for children from 4 to 6 years: Les Pious Pious in Isola 2000.
